The only person who deserves thanks in my bitcoin story is my grandmother for leaving Ireland.

Two most consequential decisions in the families history.

1. She leaves ireland for america

2. I put all my money into bitcoin

People who say you could have bought bitcoin in Ireland will miss the point.

There’s a very low probability I would have understood bitcoin early without being an American libertarian.

That doesn’t happen without grandma.

She’s the real G.

Love you grandma, we made it girl.

We made it in America.

Sounds like you just got lucky, bro!

All while a lot of Americans are planning on leaving America. One man’s trash is another man’s gold and even a blind man knows when the sun is shining. Glad you made it 🌹

I gotta say, I am here for the American HODL victory lap. 🇺🇸🏋️

Grandmas are the fucking best.

She got on a boat at 19 and left everything she’d ever known in search of a better life. Absolute legend. I miss her.

tough little girl.

Then she raised 6 kids as a single mom. She was tough as nails.

Families these days can hardly raise one child. I ask them why. They say it's too hard and not also unaffordable

Feel you on that one; lost my grandma earlier this year. ❤️‍🩹

She crossed the border to escape Mexico, worked her way to survive and thrive, and got to live out her goal of becoming a citizen and travel more freely within the last few years of her life.

Humanity wouldn't have hope without grandmas.

Love this!

You have a good heart 💜

Thanks grandma 👵

“There’s a very low probability I would have understood bitcoin early without being an American libertarian.”

Is this because an Irish Libertarian would have been too blinded by nationalist fervor to see that Bitcoin fixes the dilemma of identifying as a territory? Or is there something else about the American libertarian experience that you think has opened your eyes to the multiple paradigm shifts bitcoin offers?

I’m only judging this off my extended family in Ireland and how they all seem to think. Most of them are climate alarmist socialist types. I think if I had been born there I would be very much like they are.

What about America, I wonder, has granted you this critical distance from the programming du jour? Is it a more diverse fellowship? FOSS community? Essence relationships to identity interest me.

These are American values. America is about doing whatever the fuck we want and hating the government while we do it. lol that’s core to who we are. Not a fringe concept over here.

It baffles me how Europe can be so ahistorically socialist when many of those same countries have suffered directly at the hands utopian enforcers. And how badly American academics are being played: so little critical thinking when they are supposed to be teaching the shit.

A code-enforced deflationary money is the surest check on the human lust for power over others.

Fiat incentivizes unethical behavior.

Hard work breeds the luck.

Entropy dilutes it.

In other words, hard times, hard men, good times, weak man, ...

Irish bitcoiner in Ireland. Got there a little later than you but with your and others' help, I got there. If only I could have convinced more to come with me...
