they'll find me soon, i keep telling myself
You have five times more than me and I am here for one year.
Maybe more # in posts ๐
They told me to reply more to other people's threads, but this has actually had no discernible effect.
Writing to bigger relays, such as primal, had no discernible effect.
Writing about Bitcoin or Nostr development, had no discernible effect.
They told me to use hashtags, but this also had no discernible effect.
TBH, I suspect the biggest difference between this npub and the last one, that has over 5000 followers, is the profile pic. ๐ I think people were just following me, to see the PfP in their feed. Now, that I don't have a picture of my face next to every post, they're like, "Meh, TL;DR."
I say don't focus on the follower count of your account. Focus more on the follower count of your users. Your dev team is small and the user amount is, most likely much larger. Figure out ways to incentive your supporters to promote the project.
๐ซHow's your week been? Do anything exciting?
Yeah, yesterday was my birthday. I was slightly drunk and swimming in a sea of relatives from circa 10 am to 11 pm. Got hardly any sleep. ๐
It was fun, but now I'm running behind on a bunch of project tickets (I don't just have the software project, I'm also a member of nostr:npub1purpleye8gzrzss99nzqqnemtf7g8xxj8p950nkyknnuqzycuh5qnazkzp and we're organizing a three-day meetup this weekend, up near Frankfurt.
Congrats๐๐๐ธ! Hopefully it was only top shelf liquor. Make sure to get plenty of sleep tonight. The nostr community needs you in top shape to help finish Alexandria๐ซ.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "project tickets", but it doesn't sound good๐ . Oh yea, I've heard of nostr:nprofile1qqsq7pslujvn5pp3ggzje3qqfua45lyrnrfrsj68emztfe7qpzvwt6qprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qfqwaehxw309ahx7um5wghx26tww4hxg7nhv9h856t89eehqctrv5hsz9nhwden5te0vaex2etwwdhh2mpwwdcxzcm99ukv33hp. I haven't been keeping up with them, though. What is it? Is it similar to GitCitadel? Have fun at the meetup.
It's just three ladies who invite people to cozy meetups. ๐
Happy bday! โบ๏ธ๐๐ฅ
I don't just have Nostr's most active users, I also have Nostr's most-supportive user base. #Alexandria hasn't even been released, yet, and they're already publicly cheering for us, name-dropping for us, and zapping us.
We're blessed, truly. ๐
curious, do you have a target followers in mind and what do you plan with it? I noticed in one of your notes you have like 90 replies. This is astonishing considering your follower count. It seems you have active followers who are willing to engage with you which is great! Don't you think? โบ๏ธโค๏ธ
Can I DM you?
sure ๐
nostr:nprofile1qqs8t5fpgx3erx2vgp39q8c4tshrfeq63s70n0heunta9xp9x3vdrcsprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68y6ty9e3k7mf0qy08wumn8ghj7um4wpjhyar9wd6xuet59ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hsz8rhwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuurvv438xtnyv5hsl6utae - did you mean it for me? ignore me if I misread the thread LOL ๐
My followers are extremely active, yes.
Want to get new ones, tho, to replace the few which have left (my followers rarely leave, which you would think would give someone designing a client a clue, but whatever) and to find some additional ones interested in non-Nostr and non-Bitcoin stuff. We're coming up with an eReader for books and articles, and it'll eventually have comments/highlights/book-clubs, etc. so I need more people who can "name 10 books". If they're on here, I need to find them and get their attention. If they're not on here, I need to go find them out there and get them on here.
this makes sense for your new software. Do you have other social media outside nostr? Perhaps what you already thinking about finding them elsewhere is also a great idea โ hitting all audience from nostr and other platform. I am sure you will find them soon. As user myself, what I'd value the most is easy to search content that interests me: taxonomy of contents and ability to categoriee my content to help people find mine too. By sounds of your project this seem to address this. Or am I misreading it. โบ๏ธ
Yes, we're focused on analyzing and recommending content, rather than follows. Labeling content by categories, for instance, like "Jazz" or "esoteric", etc.
