Imagine being “Satoshi”. You can never tell a soul what you did, not even after death. No records will ever show the world or history who you really were. I don’t know any human being alive that could handle that.

Once you reveal yourself you are immediately in danger, including your family. But that isn’t why you don’t say anything. You just wanted to save humanity, anonymously.

I can’t wrap my head around it.

i would be absolutely ok with that.... as long as it makes the world a better place... which it will

If Satoshi is who I suspect, he is long dead and all his Bitcoin is a permanent donation to the system

Easier to keep mouth shut that way

I hear you & have my own ideas. Still doesn’t change the question. I don’t know a single human being who would even do that. “Donation” to humanity. Not one single family member or highly trusted friend “in the know”. Maybe but still blows my mind.

There are multiple people that know who Satoshi is

Just not in their best interests to announce

I’m not trying to be difficult but knowing human nature, I just don’t see this being true. Hal Finney, Adam Back etc don’t know who he/they are. Satoshi left no breadcrumbs, if he did I have zero doubt government agencies would already know.

How would you know if they know?

Read up on Len Sassaman

At this point it doesn’t matter anymore…Bitcoin is decentralized.

True true. I have read on Len. As Interesting as anything else out there. Plausible too.

Thanks for playing today Chewy. This is such an interesting time to be alive. I sincerely like to spitball this stuff knowing it’s a little circular. Have a great day my man. 👊

You too Brother 👊

You’re saying cRaiG Wr1gHT isn’t Satoshi?

Yeah. Satoshi is dead, in continual serious danger due to other enterprises or involvements or not a person, but a group, a program of some very secret research lab like Los Alamos, etc. where a culture of secrecy is unquestioned and fiercely enforced.

Maybe. Makes sense. BUT there’s a saying I agree with; 3 people can always keep a secret as long as 2 of them are dead. A group seems less likely to me. Weak links exist everywhere in every field.
