Similar note- I’m trying to build a backcountry meal plan that replaces the standard items like dehydrated meals pumped full of preservatives. They have to be packaged with weight and size in mind. I pack them into gallon day bags and then carry 1 bag per day that I plan on staying out. I’m carrying it in one pack(along with hunting gear) so this is why weight and size are important factors. It needs to last at least a week(or more) without being refrigerated as well. nostr:nprofile1qqswp94gnm4epqsgjkndl4lnd8krzdj5u4mzuppdtxksdymkty63g7gpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghxcctwvseqj8h0, nostr:nprofile1qqsfnnh6v3dspqtnwv3e46aed5k3nypyfx2wtet92ekg9szt3hr9k4qpzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ucpremhxue69uhkummnw3ez6vpn9ejx7unpveskxar0wfujummjvufqeqqt do you have products that are individually portioned in single meal pouches that fit the description? Looking for dehydrated fruit, meat options, powdered form protein source to add to oats(is that on here?), and honey packets as well. Obviously coffee is a requirement too. I’m all ears, so share them all. My plan is to build a day meal plan all from NOSTR, add the calories up, test on the next hunt and share results.

TY for the shout out. Look forward to putting my meat in your mouth soon. 😄

It's funny bc she's a lady lol

Unless you are cooking something in a pan of some sort, I don’t think GreatGhee is needed on the trip, but I could be wrong?

I cook game meat in jet boils after we take an animal. I know people who swear by rendering bear fat in a jet boil then cooking game with that. I see yours as a way to cook game in the backcountry but more so to add to coffee in the morning to get in healthy fats, “Bulletproof coffee”. I think fats are overlooked in the backcountry and the emphasis has always been carbs. Have you tried your product in coffee or don’t see that as beneficial? I’m not well versed in Ghee yet.

Oh heck yeah. Ghee is shelf stable. Haven’t ever considered getting it into the one-time use packs.

Might need to just put an 8oz trial jar of it on the ‘mule’ guy of the group so yall can cook with the most superior cooking fat on earth 🫡

This is the kinda stuff I'm into.

How about jerky?

My plainer varieties are also shelf stable up to a year - they're vacuum sealed. The more uniquely flavored varieties I make are also safe to eat after long term storage, but the flavor dulls a bit after a few months unless frozen or refrigerated.

Thanks for your consideration 😎

I’m going to run it by you but I need your help deciding-

What has the most protein per weight/size and best flavor if I eat it in the next 30 days?

Also, do you #zapsnag? Know some rabid zapsnaggers looking for quick buys on here.

Glad you asked. I've got some opinions on that...I have posted a few listings here on nostr, people can visit my page and zap if they ask, but right now, I have limited supplies and I'm trying to clear inventory before I make more. I also need people to make sure they email me at bjw@ketolish.us because I run that email and have had trouble tracking people down to get shipping info and nostr DMs are unreliable (it says all this on my site). I don't like to spend a lot of time waiting and like to take care of my customers right away as I'm not a slacker and I built a website myself so that I can run my business the most efficient way for me. While I think that zapping is great for the social aspect of nostr to show appreciation for people's contributions, it is my humble opinion that the snag aspect of it feels like people don't care about how you run your business, and instead it feels like they're telling you how to, and frankly, no one but Christ tells me what to do. So for people into the zapsnag, cool...but I think they might like to just watch for posts where the merchant uses the hashtag or something like that before zapping. Just my 2 sats!

As for your second question, I don't track macros, but every package of my jerky is between 2.25 and 2.5 oz of jerky strips. I use 93% lean ground beef, and the Bison is 90% lean. Beef is usually between 20-21g protein per oz., and bison may be similar. Hopefully you can use that data to get the info you need. Everything I have in stock right now was made on 8/7 and is still pretty much in its peak, flavor-wise. Cheers, and check out the website for (literally every possible question you could have) https://mailboxmeat.com

It's a unique product, and I think it speaks for itself, I think...or at least, my die hard customers do. I've been some people's go-to jerky lady for 6 years now 🙏😎

I’ll get on there this week to order a batch. Thank you!

No worries, and if there's something out of stock you're interested in, there's a button to get notified when it's back.

Just put in an order for 2 Plain Jane’s. Looking forward to it.

Sweet, thanks

FYI - I got it, and sent you your invoice.

(don't tell anyone I'm up so late, I was actually about to turn in but my business partner was telling me to answer his email, and I noticed the order)

Hey, nostr:nprofile1qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqy2hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yt3jx5mxkvfwv3jhvqpqe54je9yt9le2aj70zmcaz3u3vza7hx4dmlxrk5tzhy4etapesdyqcnq8v9

Your order is on its way!

PS - would love to know what you thought of the ordering process - fairly easy? Thanks in advance

Awesome, thank you. It was really easy. Quick response too which is much appreciated. One thing- nostr:nprofile1qqswp94gnm4epqsgjkndl4lnd8krzdj5u4mzuppdtxksdymkty63g7gpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skueq6259m3 just schooled me up on sharing my address for shipping on the SimpleX app for security purposes rather than in an email. Might not work with what you have going on but I figured I’d share since he learned me up 10 minutes ago.

Well, it’s better than nostr dm’s anyways 🤞🏼

Never used it. I'm not much for chats.

My solution is self-hosted, my website is run by me only and I also run the server it's on, and I'm not using Shopify or any crap like that. In any case, your address still gets into Pirate Ship, which he and I both use, so... while I get people want to be private (so do I), you still have it not private in some aspects when it comes to ecommerce. The more private option would be using a UPS store address or something.

Like I said, better to not send addresses via nostr DMs. That’s all 🤞🏼
