So cold in London. Just had a shower and want to crawl back into bed and get all toasty βΊοΈπ₯Ή

Itβs definitely getting colder, I might have to turn on my heated jacket soon π
It is, that was such a switch, no gradual weather change for us π€£π. Ooo that sounds great π₯ππ―π« have a toasty day Landy π―π«π
Good morning Eshara π Why not just do it? I'm also making myself comfortable in the home office today βΊοΈ
Good morning Alex_a βΊοΈπ« ah man that sounds lovely! β€οΈ I wish I could, feel kinda bad because Iβve been working from home so much recently βΊοΈπ₯Ήπ
Keep the shower going, even if you're not in it. Full steam!
I wish! π must leave for work in a bit now βΊοΈ
Scotland reporting in with 0C this morning π±π±
π₯Ά guaranteed London wasnβt that cold π±π±π± youβd have to drag me out of bed π«£
So, uh, this sounds really, really counter-intuitive and takes a few weeks to get used to, but, end your showers completely cold. You'll end up a lot warmer that way.
Ooo I will actually try this! Sounds intriguing βΊοΈ thanks Beave!
I wasn't expecting you to.
It really, really sucks at first. And for me, when the water hits my neck and upper back, that's the worst. Other people have other areas they have issues with. But since I started doing this last year, life is just... Better. I can't explain why, but it just is. I also find that if I shower in the morning (I don't, usually), it's much better at waking me up than caffeine ever was. (I don't have many caffeinated beverages these days.)
If you want to take a really deep dive into cold immersion, look up Wim Hoff.
