Put in a new water filter for the garden. These ones for koi ponds etc are way bigger and better value than the other options I have seen.

It would be nice if there was a stainless steel inline one you could empty and put your own carbon in. But this will have to do for now.

Are you wanting to remove specific things from your water, or just generally cleaner water?

Main intention is to filter out chlorine, as it's not good for the microbes. It will be removing a lot of other nasty stuff too I dread to think about too.

If I filter the tap water for me because I don't trust what is in it, I should be doing it for the plants and biological potions too.

If you want a simple inline stainless tube, I could easily figure that out for you. I have a friend with a machine shop and I weld. How big do you want it to be?

Yup. A threaded cap with a 1/2" or 3/4" NPT fitting welded to it and another on the other side.

👍 That's a good idea, just realised you have different pipe fitting standards here too (we have bsp here), but thanks your setting my thinking on the right course.

Yes, true. I'm familiar with BSP as Honda, annoyingly, decided on that for many of their engines. 🙄
