Oh the good ole days of the contests (I remember winning a couple times on Twitter!). 😎
I always think about how much time and energy it must take to go through all the entries and judge. And how the amount of time and energy increases over time as you try to filter out duplicate entries or people posting photos that they didn’t take (or photoshopped even).
I know it’s not easy so I just wanted to express my appreciation. If you’re up for it again then I will do my best to find the winning spot. 🫡
Everybody that puts effort in to place stickers should receive some reward imo.

The way it has been definitely won't be coming back. It's just too much to manage and brings in too many scammers.
Trying to find a way to keep some zaps flowing without ending them entirely.
That could be good, but how does voting work? Zaps can be gamed and that also gives those with more BTC more voting power. Maybe After so many sticker slaps, you get a zap 🤷🏼. That would encourage more than one slap.
Also do you have a way to track which QR codes get the most unique scans?

Had lots of fun with it. Trying to be creative ect. The challenges got stickers out to locations they probably wouldn’t have.

I say bring it back. Gives me more of a reason to be creative with sticker placement. More PoW required.
Well i just got my stickers in this week and still brainstorming on where to put them. Luckily I am near a big college campus so I will start there to orange pill folks.
I think posting proof of block with proof of sticker would reduce the amount of scammers.

What stops someone from stealing someone else's photo and posting the current block height?
Match it with an npub so to verify the photo with the npun.
Npub and block height has to be written on the photo somewhere so it can show true proof of work

That way you have the block height which shows proof of time and the npub which shows proof of identity.
No duplicates can be made as volunteers can see that the photo shared has already been verified and can’t be reposted or edited by someone.

i loved the previous contest you did of 21 million for 21 people, I do think that’s a shit ton of sats per winner maybe if it was 1/4 of that and 3 times more winners would be cool
maybe there should also be a live leaderboard on a site, where let’s say you post the note on nostr and then submit the noteID into the site to verify your entries and get you on the leaderboard
monthly sticker contests is the best trade off for dissuading scammers but also still providing incentive. also keeps your workload to a minimum instead of zapping every slap
Everyone who is trying to spread the knowledge about Bitcoin should deserve tye rewards, it makes them motivated to do more and more , the fact is the scammer who are continuously stealing the others photos and that's why others who are really trying hard are not getting the rewards and stopping putting the stickers unlike those who are effected by this thing is me i have been trying so hard but it's not even appreciated one time but still it's okey i am trying hard still gonna do it . Just request to bitcoin rocks find someway to catch the scammers and zap those who really trying hard . I kinda like that idea! I slapped my first sticker nearby a mcdonalds for that contest 😄
But maybe as an addition to the regular sticker campaign? Or maybe have more strict rules on the regular campaign?
