The downside of pet names or a customizable contact list is that if you know someoneās real name, you may accidentally reveal their name to others.

I like being on a first name basis. More personable and eliminates the risk of trying to hide, but I respect each persons preference š¤

not sure, I donāt need access to the entire contact list. There should be a way to just add data to existing or new contacts.
Afaik contacts on iOS is one permission which is read + write, theyāve only just separated the photos read + write on the iOS 17 beta but Iām not sure if contacts are affected too

Yeh tbh I like the way theyāre going, Snapchat is a shit app though which uses permissions so weird so it doesnāt work by defaultš¤£they need to update and use native I think. That app tries to make itself an android app I stg, design language, backend and all
