Okay #Plebchain I need advice . Which conference would be better to go to if could only choose one , pacific #Bitcoin or Bitcoin Miami ? I feel like people are not happy with BTC mag so most people are gonna say Pacific. Try to put aside disdain for BTC mag and think about it clearly from a educational aspect. My dad has recently gotten pretty interested in learning about Bitcoin and wants to go to a conference. I’ll zap the first 25 people who repost this 100 Sats . I’ll zap anyone 21 Sats who comments with a explanation why they would choose BTC Miami or Pacific BTC . If you think there is a better domestic conference then Pacific BTC or Miami I would also be interested in hearing about that. I thank you in advance

Bitcoin Miami mainly because it's the largest Bitcoin event of the year. And that tens of thousands go there. Most Bitcoiners go to Miami each year to speak.
If it's true that Miami will be rife with shitcoiners then I would steer clear. Any educational content will be competing with a lot of noise. Go to Pacific for a clearer signal.
I think there will be a lot of shitcoiners in attendance but I don’t believe there will be any shit coin content . If there is any shit coin content I’m sure it will be incredibly minimal. I already got him on the Bitcoin not crypto mindset just need to get him fully Orange pilled
Hmm, you might be right. I looked at the agenda and nothing jumped out at me as overt shitcoinery. It looked like there were some good topics for beginners. A lot of focus on energy. Some stuff I didn't recognize at all.
Pacific Bitcoin doesn't have an agenda up yet, so tough to compare.
I live in southern California so I'm biased towards the one that's closer.
Also I'm really sick of BM hyping the conference for 15 minutes at the beginning of every podcast.
Imo it comes down to urgency. If you want to 🍊 💊 earlier, Miami.
If he would benefit from some more time (eg some pre-conference education), Pacific.
Pacific, mainly because the mission and true signal, I also listen to cafe bitcoin a lot

You have to do miami at least once. It's a great place to hang with the plebs.
I would say PBC because it’s less massive. When the conferences get big there’s mission drift. I like smaller settings for meeting other Bitcoiners as well.

Do you have any local meetups where you are? Maybe instead of spending your fiat traveling to a big conference you should find a free group to join, and use what you would have spent on conference tickets and stack sats with it. You’ll learn more, and stay humble. https://www.bitcoinerevents.com
The only consistent meetup in Denver is a small group of plebs who meet at a brewery ounce a month . There’s no presentations or anything just plebs mingling. My dads been bugging me to go on a trip with him and he’s recently started getting into learning about BTC. Only took me almost 3 years to get him genuinely intrigued. We also live in different states . He wants presentations from people he has heard on podcast and seen on tweets/notes. If it was just me I would stack Sats with the money it would cost to go to a conference but it’s also about getting my dad closer to being orange pilled . He’s on the brink of being orange pilled but not there quite yet . But yeah I do agree with you to stack with the money instead but if I take another orange pill I might OD . He on the other hand needs to increase his dosage
Makes sense. In that case, it’s Pacific all the way. It’s a lower profile event but it brings some of the best minds together, and it probably won’t be inundated with a bunch of shitcoiners. Bet your dad leaves there completely mind blown.

I lean Pacific Bitcoin as the first conference to easily meet some nice people and learn, put Miami on the bucket list but not necessarily a must do first :)
