Keeping them from realizing their own power within.

The unknown can be a scary place for most, and exhilarating for others.

It may be attachment that causes suffering. Then fear of losing said attachment. You don't let go of your fears, you let go of your attachments, and the fear goes away in its own.

Maybe. I was just thinking that humans seem to be wired for fear. And this has been used to control us for centuries.

Yes I also feel lots of fear from non-bitcoiners. It’s a mix of “I’m afraid because it’s new” and “the state will never allow it”

Fear can paralyze.

Existential fear can lead to the courage of despair.

So one could assume that people are not yet afraid enough.

As you might know, Germans have the word "Angst".

We also have the word "Existenzangst".

I no longer hope for reason.

Only sheer existential fear will lead to disruption / the necessary change.

wtf is courage of despair?

Grok:

"The German phrase **"Mut der Verzweiflung"** translates to **"courage of desperation"** in English. It refers to a type of bravery or boldness that arises not from confidence or heroism, but from a state of desperation, where someone feels they have no other options left. It describes actions taken in extreme situations, often as a last resort, when a person is driven by fear, hopelessness, or the realization that they have nothing to lose. This kind of courage is spontaneous and fueled by the urgency of the moment, rather than deliberate or calculated resolve.

For example, it might describe someone fighting fiercely to protect their family in a dire situation, or a person taking a risky action because they feel trapped and see no other way out. The phrase captures both the emotional intensity and the precariousness of such moments."

Desperation makes sense lol but despair and desperation are two different words. Look up the definition of despair.
