I am trying to learn what is the best way to hedge my bitcoin holdings with put options when we are near the top and still hold my real bitcoin in cold storage. It is a way to never sell the bulk of my bitcoins but at the same time hold value when we will inevitably have the cyclic bear market. Is there anyone familiar with all of these who has advise on where to get the put options that would eventually pay out and how the hell all of this works? Maybe a good source to figure this out.

We don't do that. Bear markets we dont buy anything but bitcoin thats the hedge

I think you misunderstood me :). I want to take a put option during the bull market to cash it out when Bitcoin will inevitably crash again and then buy more bitcoin during the bear market. You are talking to someone who just bought Bitcoin without selling since 2018. Using options might be a way to hedge from the next crash and still custodying most of my Bitcoin.

Options will eventually be available on the ETFs.

Yesterday I have been looking at this.

I do not know if there are more trustworthy solutions.
