I think the general cypherpunk/crypto-anarchist idea is not to replace the current system, but to create a parallel system in which you have the ability to opt out of the current system. Or, at least, insulate yourself from it on some meaningful level. Bitcoin is seen as a way to do that.

I'm putting together a longer-format note on a good talk that OG crypto-anarchist, Smuggler, did on this topic. Will publish in the next few days.

So no solution for world improvement for everyone, rather an optional individual lifeboat for those who want it. Okay, valid thought.

Everyone can opt out once the system reaches some minimum viable product that can be easily adopted. It's why people are building tools/markets/communities to make it accessible worldwide. You can opt out, now, but it takes a lot of work.

The idea that world improvement for everyone has to come from the top down is something that needs to be unlearned.

It's a digital secession of the plebs.
