So, ally or foe? Sounds like ally, and I gather we had serious bases there. But I'd only heard them brought up a couple weeks ago, and commentators made it sound like we were itching for an excuse to get more active there, which sounds more like foe.

Very simple view, Qatari authorities should be assassinated until someone smart enough and sane enough to deal with is in charge. Or if the country protects the authorities, the country should be bombed until it stops being dangerous
Any that can be arrested should be of course. I don't believe in unnecessary killing, it's just hard to do international conflict without any bloodshed. Maybe part of why I don't run a country
