Fraud Schemes

1) Visa Fraud: employers must “prove” that “couldn’t find an American for the job” to apply for visas. That’s why they post jobs with ridiculous qualifications or way below the pay an American would accept.

2) Investor Fraud: companies post job listings as part of a way to signal growth to gain investment/loans. “See, we are growing. Look, we need 2mil for the expansion, that’s why we are posting for jobs”.

3) understaffing benefits fraud: various states over benefits to companies for “understaffing” when they cannot find employees. Companies befraud this system by posting job listings even when they have enough employees just to claim the free cash.
