INT. ALBERTO'S APARTMENT - DAY

Alberto is surrounded by computer equipment, his eyes glued to the screen. He's hacking into a website, trying to uncover its vulnerabilities. Suddenly, the door bursts open, and several police officers rush in, guns drawn.

CUT TO:

INT. PRISON CELL - DAY

Alberto is sitting on his bed in a small, cramped cell. He looks up as his cellmate, a hardened criminal, walks in.

CELLMATE:

(laughing)

What are you in for, kid? Stealing candy?

ALBERTO:

(resolutely)

I was trying to make the internet a safer place.

The cellmate looks at him skeptically, but then nods in understanding.

CUT TO:

INT. LAWYER'S OFFICE - DAY

Alberto is sitting across from his lawyer, who looks grim.

LAWYER:

I'm sorry, Alberto. They're going to put you away for a long time.

ALBERTO:

(voice cracking)

But I didn't do anything wrong! I was just trying to help!

LAWYER:

(shaking his head)

I know, I know. But the system doesn't always make sense.

CUT TO:

INT. PRISON YARD - DAY

Alberto is sitting alone on a bench, staring up at the sky. Suddenly, a group of prisoners approach him menacingly.

PRISONER 1:

(voice dripping with malice)

Hey there, hacker boy. We hear you like to mess with computers.

PRISONER 2:

(leering)

Maybe we should mess with you.

Alberto looks terrified, but then he takes a deep breath and stands up, his eyes blazing.

ALBERTO:

(defiantly)

You can try. But you won't win.

The prisoners back off, impressed by his courage.
