Sure wish I could attend
This will be a fun educational workshop.
If you have a Raspberry Pi sitting around collecting dust, bring it and we’ll show you how to put it to work running bitcoin!
In addition to node running basics, I'll be there to demonstrate how to set up a simple standalone Lightning node with nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm Hub.
Thanks to nostr:npub1dlkff8vcdwcty9hs3emc43yks8y7pr0tnn7jewvt63ph077sw48s4cc4qc and Fat Cat Fab Lab for hosting.
Hope to see some of you there!

Discussion
I’d love to do one at Nostrbama, but the timing didn’t work out this year. Hopefully we can make something happen down the road.
I thought raspberries are not enough hardware anymore... What's your operating system? Umbrel or start9? I'm very interested as I still have a raspberry lying around
It’s not optimal if you want to run both a full node and a Lightning node on the same machine and you want to achieve a good level of performance. However, you can still learn the basics of navigating your way around a Linux OS and the concepts of running a bitcoin node.
The primary workshop is centered around Start9, which is probably the best choice for the most basic of setups. In addition, the portion I’m running is exclusively about setting up a standalone Alby Hub, which lets you use self-custodial Lightning without having to maintain a full node.

We will be there. We hate missing this year. Hope everything goes perfect. 💜 y'all.
You can count on it.
