And change the color that's a fucking blue check?!!!

Nostur is like that šŸ˜„

Nostr’s TAM is a lot bigger than Twitter’s. I am just one data point, but I have never sent a Tweet, but have enjoyed engaging here and zapping for many months now.

I can make it more blue if you want

moar

BHAHAHAHA

?cid=2154d3d7j04kqef8seiporn493sztro498et15uy9u9a367n&ep=v1_gifs_search&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g

feels invasive, don’t want that personally.

having an app track my activity.

just increases the dopamine addiction

Generally not a fan of tracking. I believe Will feels the same way.

It’s public information, and it’s better that users know this so they can plan accordingly.

elaborate how it makes the user experience better?

curious of your POV on this šŸ’œ

it didn’t say experience, knowledge is power

like DMs, we can see who is talking to each other

that’s not advertised well still

have you see nostr.band??

has the npub born on dates

all public information can and will be made public

IM had this vibe, it’s a good way to know who is here

use other nyms if you want to not be seen

once the date picked up gone for a few weeks won’t mean much for celebs because we will just know they lurking on other nyms

Can we do it is a different question than should we/do we want to do it.

Can we do individual post analytics tracking? Possible. Should we?

Let’s have it as a possible custom function part of the SimpleX integration, when you could manually allow the other user to see your activity.

Not a fan of having it public for everybody to see

nostr is public for everyone

ā€œnostr is for things you want people to seeā€

if it can be built it will be built

we live in a data is oil world now

if Damus doesn’t build it, someone else will if users find value in it

and at one time in internet history -the are they here or not- indicators were a popular feature

Is your pfp an X(Twitter) Egg being cracked by #nostr and the #Lightning network ?

nostr is hatching, used the WoS lightning bolt as the crack

Noice!!

lemme pick some berries, charge my phone and think about this one a bit šŸ’œ

npub born dates are already part of the design concept + they have a big upside to it. Getting to celebrate people’s Nostr birthday gives a people a chance to celebrate each other, without doxxing their birthday, similar to Cake Day on Reddit.

Having a ā€œlast seen:ā€ tag creates a toxic expectation to the user, feeling that other people are gonna judge them if they don’t reply etc.

Yeah, it is. šŸ¤™šŸ½

The ā€œUsers reported thisā€ displaying will incline people to start mass reporting somebody to get them ā€œcanceledā€ for their different opinion. Not a fan

reporting tanel for mass cancellation

it was nice shitposting with y’all šŸ¤£šŸ’œ

Nhaa, is because of the web of trust. Sometimes you want to block or mute a user because is impersonating someone else or a bot account.

Is there anything stopping anybody from farming accounts to mass spam reports on somebody?

no, but you just identify the reporters with filters and then discount it

so Damus will be adding a web of trust?? šŸ‘€

what’s a web of trust and how do you plan on implementing it?

it’s a dumb idea that every person I’ve ever heard suggest it has a contact list full of abandoned npubs

oh, got it šŸ’œ

How change color

a color folders in assets, there is an accent color as well at the top of the asserts folder. I think you have a personal build in Xcode… there is a little bit of extra sauce for hashtags n stuff.

but I’ll be releasing colorways of #sideus the next major app store update.

you can check out my personal build here.

https://github.com/olheadinternet/damus/tree/Zideus-Master

there also some gradients defined in components folder that just use hex

people already judge them if they don’t reply and they see them online

why have npub birthdays when we have nostr addresses and rotating keys, isn’t that big of a deal?
