you can almost hear the sucking sound. are we being played?

My concern is that governments and corps will see this as an easy attack vector and think paying the fees is a bargain to clog up the network and make Bitcoin L1 very high fees indefinitely (earlier than it would have done if it had stayed BTC transaction data-focused only).

I don’t understand.

This guys pays these fees and also it is cheaper from normal transactions so actually inscriptions are incentivized by protocol.

And also they are really proud of themselves because they are blocking the blockspace.

I wonder how much the fees drop if you create a block template like Ocean’s without ordinals.

This is a real clusterfuck and we need to be cool headed and everything but it is frustrating to watch.
