I live my life to my own values and priorities. Happy New Year though!
It seems that somehow I (inexcusably) skipped Wagner, so here I am fixing it.
Herbert Von Karajan conducting Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser Overture with the Berlin Philharmonic. Divine!
(Re-uploaded the correct video.🤦)

Although, at least for the first time I should write its complete name, "Tannhäuser und der Sängerkrieg auf Wartburg".
Ah, that's better. Sublime!
Many are already using it as a crutch in writing, music, art, and other creative fields. Some will take your approach and use it as a tool for growth, but I suspect most won’t develop their skills as deeply as they might have without it. Over time, they will become dependent on it, even for basic tasks. I hope that’s not the case, but the early signs aren’t promising.
It also leads to dependency and skill atrophy (and is generally very derivative by nature). I find uninspiring overall.
Found it odd that I was confronted with what appeared to be a curated list of who to follow when first installing it, considering nostr's ethos.
Note to users (hopefully WoS will fix this soon) https://primal.net/e/nevent1qqsd3srw29ksjcd3v238rp4vnhun5y42090ketd4wwhgwnxvrhwe4zgthusmz
No more fear of prosecution now there's more regulatory clarity. The Biden admin were gunning for them.
Yet no platforms are currently offering them in the UK. Based on statements, the largest ones are unlikely to for several months yet.
I get your point, but the younger generations haven't even tried (and I'm talking a lot wider than just the US here).
If the younger generations got off of their asses (and phones) to vote more than boomers, then the politicians would be far more likely to support policies that helped them instead.
The reality is that NGU is required for FGU en masse.
Will massively accelerate internet/music/art/video enshitification.
Same here. 2008 made me realise the system was irreparably busted. Banks getting bailed out at the public's expense made me so angry. I started boring people with my concerns about a crisis of confidence coming for fiat currencies, not for some years, but very possibly in my lifetime. Even so, life got in the way of me studying Bitcoin properly, and realising that it was the best alternative humanity has. Very lucky we have it.
Is Britain Really The Most Miserable Country In The World?

It's not, as the article suggests, but it's in serious decline, and still suffers from a post-empire mentality, with no clear direction or vision for its future.
Be interesting to see how well it actually works in the field. The live translation will probably make the most difference to lay users if it isn't janky.
