Idealism typically has a shelf life of about five years before reality sets in for most people. Just as nature self-corrects, so too do societal beliefs and practices evolve over time.

Initially, being right or doing the right thing may seem straightforward, but as circumstances change, the most rational choice often becomes acknowledging facts rather than clinging to dreams.

In conclusion, humanity is not yet ready for Bitcoin. The natural adoption cycle must progress at a pace that aligns with our capacity for understanding and adaptability. For now, we remain entrenched in a fiat-based world, and it may be decades before that changes.

I was writing something about that subject... in my opinion the real bitcoiners aren't even born yet.

I agree, looking forward to your thoughts

Writing a whole series with every time one aspect, the main theme in all these is that we still think fiat etc...

a small part of the first paragraph in DM

You should definately share them

Doing that at the allesvoorbitcoin.substack.com (and the full version plus extra's is probably something for a bundle somewhere down the line)

It is indeed that true free living through bitcoin is currently not really touched upon yet. When the bitcoin economy, (meaning the real physical economy of exchanging bitcoin for goods and services without touching fiat) grows, next generations might be native to this system, where there are still different systems in existence. It’ll be like consciously knowing you’re progressing freedom vs painfully needing to do things with fiat still. Future generations will be much more aware of this. A theft based vs a merit based system.

Yeah Bert, in retrospect everything will be so obvious. But for now, we're not capable enough to see what is right in front of us. Except for a few engineers maybe, that are able to verify and observe 'reality'.

One thing thing is for sure. Circle jerk dreamers don't change the world in any meaningful way without a proper framework. A real money is probably a good start.

Consciousness needs to shift. That takes time. It will be interesting how things progress beyond this lifetime. All inventions emanate as entropy increases, and humanity, being a collective at different ladders of consciousness is always shifting in different modes of dominance. Right now most see Bitcoin as an investment to make more fiat. But the anchor that is Bitcoin will over time show that it certainly cannot be manipulated like fiat at its root. Fiat itself is rootless - and cryptocurrencies are just rooted in the same or in some cases just human promises of work and value.

Well said!
