We do need to recreate the concept of “communities” on the protocol level, I think. My nostr experience currently is not unlike participating in a single awesome subreddit
I think we are missing the point arguing about whether individuals (nostr) or algorithms (everything else) should construct their filters - the third options is “communities” which are filters created organically and publicly by multiple individuals cooperating together, no algorithm needed
