I have a dumb question, are you crimping at the right angle?

I've had enough fail I'm thinking of throwing them all away and switching to uninsulated and heat shrink.

Assuming the right angle is a right angle between the connector and crimper and I haven't been misled my entire life, yes.
(you'll have to forgive me. I have a multi hour non electronics chore this morning because a pump seal I bought didn't come with instructions and every YouTube video about how to install it was wrong. Very aware that there is always more to learn and I might be wrong)
