Don't be afraid to read the comments.
I sort of help you along the material.
It is an important read because it gives the definitive Christian justification for the origin of property rights and explains why socialism leads to excommunication.

did you ever want to be a nun?
Yes. I considered it.
you seem to absorb many of the concepts of catholicism with ease and it dominates your notes. i ve learned many things reading your stuff.
Catholicism has a strong scholastic stream. It's intellectually satisfying.
Christian justification of the origins of property...
That sounds like a joke to orthodox ears like mine. All the first christian communities were ... yes communal. Something like monasteries function until today. Probably you don't want to hear what kind of opinion i have for popes (the same as almost all orthodox christians have).
A member of an association is always free to give the association his property. This does not negate the laws of Nature.
Ok. We can discuss that and many more but a christian cover (and especially from a pope) is not needed. Philosophy is more than enough.
And a nice quote...

You are afraid of a logical argument.
How is that? Philosophy is all about logic. Christianity is not that much
LOL Whatever. I think this is all over your head.
Christianity is a belief. It's metaphysics, not logic.
Philosophy on the other hand is all about reason, that's logic.
Logic can be applied to any realm.
Pope teachings are indifferent with logic. I am the one that asked for logic in the conversation and you told me i didn't want a logical arguement 😃. Btw logic is a greek word, this one "λογική", and λόγος means reason. So, i assume that i know perfectly well what a logical arguement is...
Wasn't Christostom before the split with the Catholic Church? Ie he was talking about Orthodox priests.... 🤔
Yes even gregorian chants were orthodox at the beginning...
Wait... Gregorian chants are catholic? To be fair I don't even know what a Gregorian chant is. I'm not catholic I have some sporadic contact with a local orthodox church. I thought a Gregorian chant was that thing they do when they sing the psalms.
What is the orthodox position on communism then? Was Jesus a communist and were the early church communists? I've heard that said, but I don't really believe it. God loves a cheerful giver more than one who gives out of compulsion. We also have the responsibility to provide for our families, but the Bible doesn't seem to compel us with more than love to give to the community. There seems to be a subtle difference between the gospels and communism.
Outside of the early church does the orthodox church live in communes sharing all their land ang labour?
Communists are atheists as far as i know... They also say Socrates was the first christian... People say much. Sometimes they may have right, some times not...
I didn't ask what communists were, I'm aware the majority identify as athiests. I asked what the orthodox church thinks of the philosophy of communism..
The fact that communists are atheists makes them hostile to the church that's why i told you so... So... The orthodox church doesn't like them in general.
To be fair I'm not convinced that the guys at the top of the orthodox hierarchies are any better 🤷🏽♀️
Isn't the Russian Orthodox top priest blessing Russian soldiers to go to war in the Ukraine because if the state of Russia loses power his church loses power? Sounds like something a pope would do to me. Doesn't sound like what Jesus did when He was here.
I think you are right. The difference is that popes had the opportunity to make crimes, while patriarchs didn't 😃
