Woke has been hijacked. Most similar nowadays would be political correctness. So the split is there, but probably not for the "woke" that you have in mind.

Of course. Hasn't there been a split for a while, now?
The split has happened, but there are still so many who are in the middle because they don't seek the truth. They are ok living their life believing in the false happiness they think they have, and that the government is for them, and they can just continue to watch Netflix and not worry about anything. There is also those who don't want to know the truth, because they are scared of the truth, therefore may never get out of "the middle", until it is too late for them to actually make a choice!
