I am loving the disruption of legacy media, however, I fear that X is doing as much to meld into the form of the old media as disrupting and creating the new. Even internal metrics used to determine the scale of said disruption are still beholden to legacy media.
Like this is just a changing of the guard instead of a whole new castle. You feel me?

Real-world depopulation. Online world population (AI) and if it happened slowly enough, no one would notice. Sources eventually become AI bots, harder to tell what’s really happening. The real people will have no idea.
But that’s a really negative dark way to think about it. I’d like to believe in humanity and it’s ability to come up with other ways of communicating. But I dip the toes in crazy ideas just to not feel too comfortable with any idea.
