Because it's what we've been using for the past year and it's cool and original and nobody else is using it. I don't want a logo that looks like generic corporate dog shit.

nostr is a protocol. what it IS is hard to represent in a logo. how it makes us feel and how it represents us is more important. the designer should approach it more like they're designing a symbol, not a logo. think logo of St Judes Children Hospital vs the caduceus symbol.
