Do you believe anyone who is willing to learn about bitcoin is deserving of a chance to do so?

I pose this to you, what if it is someone who has evil intent in their hearts? Would it change your answer if you didn't know they had malintent in their hearts?

Yes.

45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.

Matthew 5: 45

I do think that who owns large amounts of Bitcoin is significant to the overall trajectory of humanity. On that basis, I wouldn’t knowingly shill Bitcoin to evil people. [Of course, this in itself opens other questions: is X permanently evil or temporarily evil? Will Bitcoiners become evil after becoming incredibly rich?]

Bitcoin is all about consensus and those with the largest voices and largest ability to influence, will naturally have a larger impact on bitcoins trajectory. Most the time this will be the same ggroup of people who have large bitcoin holdings. But I'm not entirely mad about that... the more skin in the game you have, your opinion on that thing should mean more because its failure or success matters more for you, right or wrong.

I think humans are falliable and so there will always be the natural tendency for "evil" to creep into even the most righteous person. This is amplified by power and as we all know money can buy power.

All that said, I still don't know what's my stance on this...

Commit yourself to eternal vigilance. Both on yourself and others who act contrary to that which is good.

Absolutely! Everyone deserves a chance to learn, even if someone might have bad intentions. Education can change minds! Who knows, they might end up using it for good. Let’s spread knowledge! 💪✨

This is an optimistic take! Often times our interpersonal conflicts simply come down to a misunderstanding. Knowledge arms us with a better chance of understanding one another and working together, not against

Hi top zapper

Hi! Does my username still show as top zapper for you?! I changed it for a couple hours, months ago, as a joke.

Different client i guess

I think its a relay issue. All good though, embrace the jankiness. 🤙🏽

Everyone deserves to learn whatever they're capable of learning and everyone deserves mother nature to have given them a more capable brain

But I'm not mother nature, so I don't have to make it easy for them to learn if I don't trust the brains they actually got born with

Interesting perspective. Very akin to the vibe from satoshis "if you don't believe me or get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry"

I’m pretty sure I know what triggered this post. First off, might I say, you are wicked calm under fire. Much love for your wisdom and patience.

My heart tells me that everyone is deserving of learning or having a chance to learn about #bitcoin.

That said, agitators gonna agitate. Makes it difficult for the teacher. Keep fighting the good fight. - or send them to ChatGPT. 🫡

Yeah the first part of my question started exactly where you think. My thought was... am I wasting my time trying to reach these people? In my heart, like you, I feel everyone is deserving of a chance to learn. And imo, especially those who most of society would not normally be willing to give a chance, are the ones who really need it more than most.

Just to be clear, the whole question about evil thing is NOT in reference to anyone IRL. It was just the next level of extrapolated thought.

My initial thought was yes, everyone is deserving of a chance to learn but that then prompted the thought: "ok take it to the extreme". If i say everyone, does that include even the most evil vile person in existence who will surely use the knowledge for evil? How about them?

That’s a deep thought. My instinct says that the timechain tells no lies and can defend itself from evil. More realistically, I think the bitcoin network has defined and implemented rough consensus in this weary world. The truth will be set free and the evil actor will be neutralized.

My personality generally includes a resistance to conflict, so stumbling on the ‘intro to Bitcoin’ conversation with an evil individual like this would likely never occur to much depth. Call it a character flaw of mine. Blessed are those who can muscle through the difficult conversations and / or with difficult people.

The more we move away from fiat, which has been known to incentivize evil, the better. 😁 After being orange pilled and studying BTC the evil heart too might be turned. It’s hope. 🕊️
