yes the public communities def need to be connectable.
the private ones do not. there is a HUGE need and desire for private communities out there. add high-agency identity and money exchange and it’s sure-fire hit.

We’re making a large pivot internally into new community specs and clients like this, as well as focus on giftwrapped private dms and groups. Adding incremental features to microblogging apps is not going to win at this rate.

public communities is important and is achievable at a global scale, by leveraging #opengroups
The reason I'm here is to figure all this shit out, get a POC going, and present it to a network of private communities for precisely this purpose.
