2025 will be the year you delete your LinkedIn account once and for all, thanks to #Bitcoin.
Discussion
LinkedIn is a cesspool of solicitation.
I have zero regrets about deleting my account last year.
Can't wait until I can delete mine.
Agree but think it’s a good way for normies to get some exposure about bitcoin. Twitter is your echo chamber, Facebook is for photos and not thinking.. a lot of active LinkedIn professionals have a growth mindset and might be more open to new ideas.
💯Constant garbage from recruiters
Good for jobs otherwise don’t look.
Deleted in 2015. Everytime you met someone new at work, you would get an email about them wanting to connect. I do confess to looking up people who will be interviewing me for a new contract.
I need to keep it for my fiat job but very much exhausted of all the creepiness you can see there...
It is extremely cringe. I'd love to be in a position to delete it, but alas it remains a useful tool for now.
Its the place where bunch of people think they have world's knowledge but everything is AI generated.
Do they still do screenshots of a Zoom meeting? And post for the world to see they all had a meeting
2024 was mine.
Did it two years ago! But I agree, it’s going to catch on this year
did that years ago
LinkedIn is horrible. It’s impossible to read any posts there. How all those people can be so excited about their corporate jobs and employers is mind boggling. An account there has been more or less a necessary evil, which obviously sucks.
It’s part of the game. People get sucked into it because unfortunately many corporate jobs require you to have a presence on there to partake in the LinkedIn circle jerk. you have to be there to have a presence and “show your worth”
A man can dream.
🙏🏼
Never had one
Naw it just sits there, I don't do shit with it. I simply don't care.
Never had one. Never will.
Huge, if true!!
I quiet-quit LinkedIn a few years ago. My next step will be to announce that I no longer engage there, and will post where folks can find me (Nostr, my websites, etc.). LinkedIn will do that for free for me.
I don't yet see why I need to delete my account, but maybe that will come to me later. On the other hand, I may continue to use such systems for more B2B engagement while not treating those systems as "the system".
I consider Twitter/X to be in the same category and am now moving my attention to #Nostr.
