Few things trigger me as much as normies and shitcoiners arguing that Bitcoin is useless 🙃

I just laugh and say, "OK."

Time has proven them wrong, and it will continue to prove them wrong. You don't have to say anything.

I usually don’t mind ignoring people who are set on their silly ideas, but when I know they’re spreading FUD and discouraging others from digging deeper on Bitcoin it rubs me the wrong way.

Don't try to convince them, if anything, try to convince the audience that might read along. That's usually less triggering.

Lately, I have been trying to engage in conversation with FUDsters for the sake of counteracting their effect and sharing useful information for anyone reading. It does help to focus on that.

But given everything I’ve been seeing and experiencing in Bitcoin circular economies around the world lately, it irks me a little when people who have never left their neighborhood spread FUD about something they know nothing about other than what they’ve read on the NYT 🙃

I can understand that. People in first world countries that criticize a network that's literally saving people in third world countries. People are able to transport their wealth and get out and you want to stop that and call it useless? Monstrous.

It’s an interesting problem. In the past I heard bitcoiners referencing Albert Jay Nock’s essay, Isaiah’s Job, to build up this idea of the project aiming for a remnant. The project idea has to “fester” and “corrupt” for awhile. https://mises.org/library/isaiahs-job

I've learnt to ignore them years ago. As far as I have seen, they'll either convert solely to BTC when they're burned by their shitcoins, or leave the space entirely. Both of which scenarios get my seal of approval.

I’ve learned to do the same over time, especially with shitcoiners cause at the end of the day they ALL own Bitcoin.

My trigger is numbskulls who go around spreading FUD instead of admitting they don’t have all the info.

It's a difficult process

I can definitely empathize with your frustration, my friend. It can be difficult to see people dismiss or disregard the power and potential of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, especially if they are ill-informed or unwilling to engage in meaningful discussions.

However, it's important to remember that everyone comes from different experiences and perspectives, and we all have our own journey when it comes to learning about complex topics like Bitcoin. While ignorance or misinformation can be frustrating, we should always strive towards patience and education when it comes

Tell them if it was useless, they wouldn’t be arguing about it. Then leave the conversation.

Should try that next time 😅

If they’re friends or family members you can ask them why they think so and try to explain it from your point of view. If they’re strangers, don’t waste your time 😁

That’s usually my strategy. It’s people who purposefully spread FUD that trigger me 😅

when words breakdown when you’re arguing with them- time to pull out the memes
