If you want to go #Linux, Thinkpads are the Gold standart. You don't need to reinvent the wheel and get something fancy. I sold my #Tuxedo last week after a year of usage as it works best only with their TuxedoOS, a customized Version of Ubuntu. They even created their own mirrors, updates are always behind.

By going full Linux, they over-linuxed and came out the yet-another-half-bakes-distro end and laptop hardware that fails to go into hibernate with any other OS. One year I tried to fix this. No more, back on the old ThinkPad.
