I'd never use metal solution for seed backup. That's the simpliest attack vector for police/government to steal your funds.

I prefer border wallets. You can have the seed for the grid in your password manager, combine multiple grids or use multiple grid depths.

Coincidentally, I came across another one yesterday, a bit older, that looks at the same topic from a slightly different perspective. It tries to reflect the fact that there are different needs to work with Bitcoin over a long period of time. Savings, paying for beer, vexl, zapping, anonymization... And those needs are then met by different wallets and approaches.
