I'm searching for a song for alto, preferably popular or rock-ish. Although I was thinking about Ave Maria covered by our famous rock singer Lucie Bรญlรก. But that's no easy piece either and the finals is not held in church as it was planned. In theatre the acoustics would totally kill me on that.

Iโm definitely more on the instrumental side, so these are going to be rubbish suggestions, but what about โTime to Say Goodbyeโ the one Sarah Brightman sung?
Forgive the inaccuracies, Iโm typing on a ferry with limited WiFi ๐
I used to love the italian text, allover Andrea Bocelli was my hero. But 1) there's competing a guy who literally professionally sings italian operetta and 2) I'm not sure how this would carry in transposition down for alto. I'm not comfy with belting and going high, at least that's not the thing I'm going for the whole time, you know - suddenly singing in my head voice while last two times I was all rock might be a bad step aside. I'm the lowest and hardest voice there. ๐ But I'll keep it in mind, I'll at least browse around these pieces. It's heavy enough and not so difficult to learn the basics. Thanks.
pow please
Alright, maybe if someone accompanies me to the finals and records it. I tend to go shame myself alone.
Iโll leave you to discuss cliff throwing with nostr:npub1v7k63c6y2vktlqhsuupywt3yc7ykursujc34at964f9cv9s9y9csjutfk0 ๐๐๐
I had an ex-girlfriend who told me that if she were going to kill herself it would be jumping off a cliff while listening to this song.
Let me just guess - she liked drama, huh.
