There are some random Anon Bitcoiners with solid followings on X who I've come to respect over the years.

As they keep resisting Nostr, I start to question why.

They're ghey 🤷

Starting to suspect

Nostr is non binary 🫠

šŸ‘€šŸ˜‚

could it be as simple as a fear of losing perceived position, or do you think its something else?

I don't really know how to place it this my post

I absolutely think it is. They’ve got an audience and losing it would be a huge hit to their ego and identity.

I don’t respect anyone on x

They are clowns

Fuck the clowns bro

I am on x

Thank you for your service

🤢🤢🤢🤮

Well I guess if that’s how you sell your wine…

That’s no different than me using LinkedIn to get a toolmaker job…

Or simply bitcoin using YouTube

Gotta do what you gotta do

I reckon

People often forget that others have built a solid foundation on other social media sites before discovering Nostr. Just because there’s this new alternative doesn’t mean you have to drop all you’ve built and leave it behind. Especially considering most of the world; friends, family, business are still there

In ass or tits?

They know a solid following on Nostr is a small number? Or they saw mostr content, which supports the "Nostr is full of Nazi's and racists" perception.

The type that complains about the state of Bitcoin Twitter and calls Nostr a Bitcoin circle jerk

They don't want the latest taste of sovereignty and the algos serve them well. Incentives.

It'll take time but nostr works enough to keep going for some time.

The solid compromise is to post to both places to maximize the benefits of both. Nostr for censorship resistance. Twitter for reach. Surprised this isn’t talked about more on here

Yeah and cross posting is easy

They already enjoy the fruits of the kingdom. Why would they leave to start all over in the wild?

My guess is that they are satisfied and complacent with their status and rank on Twitter, and don't want to give it up. But people who rank a lot lower, with lower followings, tend to migrate over.

I think this is the case. What gets me is that some of them seem to be above this and that's why I respected them

Yeah like you said, it really makes you wonder.

agreed. I guess those solid followings mean more to them than liberty.

Ahh the nostr test

Some have said that is where the normies are and where the battle is.

It looks like it’s all bitcoiners here… it’s great, but there’s no one to orange pill. Also, they may not want to quit a good thing.
