I am sorry for the time when I couldn’t find the words to tell you what you meant to me.

I am sorry the for the time when I couldn’t find the courage to see past my own inadequacy, when I couldn’t find the awareness to recognize the full extent of your own sufferings, and when I couldn’t summon the strength to keep you safe from harm and keep you by my side.

I am sorry for the time when I couldn’t find the kindness in me that I demanded of you.

I am sorry for the time I couldn’t keep my integrity, when I was dishonest, when I took us for granted.

I am sorry for the time of my thoughtless words that made you feel less than loved.
