Only one life ( or 4000 weeks ; ) I also think each person’s circumstances are unique, and it’s necessary to find a balance between spending to achieve your goals now and saving to achieve future goals. You are a young guy with no family to support ( forgive the assumption- but guessing the same for the travelling surfers too),

when/if that comes into your life, perspective and priorities can really change.
