Boomers, on the whole, are absolutely clownish and near-total failures at life.

Interesting take. Go on.....
generally speaking...
if life is about, as the boomers always drilled me with, LEAVING A PLACE BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT...
they have utterly bettayed their progeny and their ancestry... and remain dug in despite many of their children waking up.
terrible man. hard to respect such elders.
by the way... see how that shitskin revealed his true self the other day...
you might be too nice 🤷♂️
I don't recall what interaction you're talking about?
I try to be nice even if people aren't to me. Life is too short and I spent many of my younger years very angry and it did benefit me at all and drove people away. I chased substances and adrenaline to try and deal with it and those almost got me killed, imprisoned and I almost lost my wife.
Plus the Internet is filled with crappy people. I can just move on and not lose sleep over it.
Okay that's a fair point. However at that age we aren't likely to change our viewpoints either for the most part. I do see your angle though and it makes sense lol.
I honestly don't really blame them.. Unfortunately, I think the main problem was that they caused an uprising in culture but really bought in to the retirement promises of the state under the auspices of the prosperity since WWII from their parents, and as they tried to build the nest egg but they had savings and buying power disintegrated, they proogressively bought in harder because it was, and really is now, all they have left. They made waves in culture and society (what they saw as their contribution to society and their progeny) but ultimately their lives and economic energy were spent through a downturn, but their children/grandchildren are now bringing prosperity and an economic upturn in the next decade after watching their parents slowly get bled to death by the state. I saw it with both my parents-they worked their fucking asses off but in retrospect I see the country inflated the wealth and life out of them. I feel sad about it, but I think it was, to some extent, their lot in life. Ours is and will be in transition, so we will likely leave the next couple of generations in prosperity.
X/millennial myself
do you ever try to actually engage with them on anything of import or sober purpose.
have you ever showed them how utterly WRONG their worldview is and dealt with the consequences...
as a group they are, as my grandmother would say, spoiled brats.
their minds are closed. they are politically retarded. they absolved themselves of civic duty and then later, after divorce (because real life isnt a cocaine disco party after all) their fat heffer idiot wives took over our services and agencies... they did nothing to thwart the now terminally progressed replacement. they are spiritually bereft and too cool for god... etc etc ad nausea
i have little respect for them as a whole.
I agree that they do have skewed worldviews (those which obviously set the tones of the downturn through their rebellions in the 60s and 70s) and they do not seem to easily have objective, rational discussions. They are set in their ways, which, fits with seniors as a whole.
ok lets raise the stakes - its the whole fucking family.
i wasnt here during covid but the awkward silences and tension at the mcmerican dinner table were palpable in timbuktu.
that was just a 10x on the contemporary default life of lies and pretense that rules in households across this nation...
so yeah, boomers are mega-cucked, but did their retarded offspring challenge them or is it "just not worth it".... proceeding to munch on cheetos and watch football with virtual fans etched into the backdrop whilst global totalitarian forced murder and destruction of life went on for 3 fucking years.
theres WAY too much silence around here about things that matter. forgive me if my initial attempts are not nuanced or diplomatic enough but something has to be said and the outlines need to be sketched so the framing can take place and plans based on realistic views (involving sampling and thus the dreaded stereotypes oh noes)...
i mean. whaddya want from me?
