IDK man. If you want to look at it optimistically, I think there might just be enough of us to pull off another, uh, 1776? if we have to. Putting your rose colored glasses on, a bunch of mission aligned liberty fighters took on the largest empire in history, won, and went about their business and were allowed to talk about that.
Only a fool would refuse to acknowledge you can't make a 1:1 comparison with the tyranny potential today, but it's something to hold on to I suppose.
Pessimistically, the president recently said (and has said like half a dozen times), "you would need an f15 to take on the federal government, why would you need a RIFLE?" - Translation: we are far to powerful to fight, so you might as well give up your weapons now before we have to kill you all and take them forcibly.

That's what all the guns are for. For not having to use them. The mere threat of 90 million gun owners rising up has kept us pretty secure. But the rot is coming from the inside out so I feel ya. It's gonna take something huge to get Gen X off their asses, but if that ever happens, God help whoever gets in the way.
