Graphene (degoogled android) is remarkably easy to set up these days

It’s still Android.

Y’all should also mention the drawbacks when mentioning GOS. The biggest being, you need to own a pixel. Then there’s the unlocking, flashing and the weird pop up you’ll see from now on when you boot up. Then there’s the loss of proprietary features. All those cool features people like about the phone app, go bye bye.

TL;DR it’s not that simple.

All the “cool features” are the things that compromise your security

I mean, if you’re rocking a pixel, your security is already compromised.😝

Don’t see any recommendations from you bro

Because I don’t have one, LMAO. I’m perfectly happy using iOS. I’m just making sure this person has all the information he/she needs before deciding on which way to go. If he/she doesn’t have a pixel, then the GOS conversation, no matter which side you fall on, is moot.

The person who mentioned GOS should’ve mentioned that, along with all of the other drawbacks of running that ROM.

No need to get butthurt. 😂

My butt is comfy af thx

That’s the million dollar question. There are a couple of outliers.

Linux?

Oh cool, are the workable Linux distros for phones now?

Can you recommend any?

Need a pixel (preferably newer one)

Eat da chip

I'm using GrapheneOS.
