Remember the good old days when you got a job because you were the best qualified no matter what you looked like or what your background was?
I'm not saying people don't deserve a job but have we stopped encouraging people to improve and to strive for more?

In Czech we currently have not that much issues with DEI in terms of race, religion or another nonsence.
But it creeps it’s way in. I was laid of a few months back because of some corporate nonsence. Non-official statement off the record was I was just too expensive (because I was one of the most seasoned and best in the team).
Now I know they hired two juniors to do my job and end up with worse numbers.
I think that whole DEI is yet another example and instance of impowerishing people. We hire unexpirienced people who just fit the box and just manage a decline over the years.
Good. We who are able will build a better future for ourselves and our families even easier being self-employed anyway.
