I don’t think it’s gotten worse. Better in many ways, completed and finished a lot of the things we started, made some execution mistakes out of speed in my view, but all correctable.
Going private was the only path forward for the company. The timing of the sale really screwed things up tho.

Some ways it has gotten worse:
- state media no longer labeled
- blue checks meaningless
- elon tweets are prioritized
- lots of weird new censorship (elon plane accounts, turkish election speech and more govt compliance, can’t easily change pfp)
- elon uses his own account to boost nutty people
Well, all issues of having protocol discovery and distribution owned by a single org. I hope they consider building on nostr to take some of this burden away.

It's true, going private was the goal, regardless of ownership.
You don't want the public to have a legal opinion on the company in charge of millions of conversations.
