In the netherlands we have what we call "Snackbars" some are chains like Kwalitaria but serving the same kinda food, but theres many independant ones.

Waaaay better than the american chains. In the UK you'd call those chippies. They just get the fried snacks from a supplier or a brand, get the potatoes from a brand or some of them even fully fresh and you get proper portions and great snacks. I might go for it tomorrow with spare ribs and a generous fries portion and I bet it will cost the same as american mcdonalds.
