Hah, yeah, I've got to figure out a couple things with security. I think it's mostly just paranoia, but I did fall for this pretty easy.

I'm going to stop checking email in the morning before coffee.

i just recently started a dawn walk thing... has to be about 20-30 minutes and by the end of it the sun should be near abouts the golden hour, before you have any caffeine

it's a trick recommended by Andrew Huberman, apparently by drinking coffee before your brain gets the morning light trigger to reset the clock you massively slow down your metabolism and thus concentration capacity

I heard something about this but never the full explanation.

... I've kinda adopted this naturally nowadays because I don't have a coffee maker, so I walk 10 minutes to the town square and buy a 25 cent instant coffee ☕ in a styrofoam cup from the vendor on the corner.

I would like to buy him a pourover funnel to put on his cart so I could just bring the ground coffee and have him pour hot water on it into a mug.

That would get the walk, the coffee I want, and the fresh air of the plaza.

yeah, there is a reason why dawn opening cafe in country towns is a thing, everyone is working mostly in the area so they go there on the way to their job, also probably has an impact in many urban centers as well where there is a lot of people in tin cans working in offices and services nearby

it's important to get teh light first and defer the coffee until you have had a long enough walk that your metabolic system woke up, then the coffee fuels it instead of taxing it

It seems that everyone is up early bustling around . I ask the restaurant at 8am if they still have breakfast and they usually shake their heads. 6am is the time everyone is eating on their way to work.

Men are walking towards the mountain slopes with machetes to work amongst the coffee plants. , women are opening up the shops. Other men are carting around propane tanks for the pupusa stands where women are flipping pupusas on grills.

The retired dudes sit in the park and the sweepers come around and I have to move outta their way with my ☕. And there's the virgin Mary statue, kinda like an idol to motherhood.

Seems like a nice statue, they did a good job painting her eyes, because it almost looks like she knows your troubles when you stand in front of her.

ah, you see, the life is similar here on madeira across the other side of the atlantic

this is how people live in most of the world

oh, you could just take the rig with you surely? sit in a park... oh yeah, gas cooker haha

i cheat i just buy a red bull, and i think anyway my stomach has had enough of roasted bean soup

I would need a new hobby to replace bean soup consumption...

it eventually tires the stomach of the constant caramel and tannin content, and it has some funny acids in it other than those tannins as well, it definitely disturbs digestion somewhere, my guess is in the stomach tho
