Seeing a bunch of whining federal employees on LinkedIn that have been let go from their cushy jobs. Always good to have a backup plan no matter how secure you think your job is.

IMO, a job is the most insecure way to make money.
I haven't had a w2 job (except the National Guard part time) since 2005! I agree with you it is the most insecure way.
I think it’s always good to be prepared to be fired. It’s a crucial step in securing your own mental/physical freedom.
