As you stare off into the void and contemplate the possibilities of nostr, what are some of the cool ideas which come to mind?

Don’t be afraid to get #nosmic 😉

Bring back geocities

This isn’t too creative, but having a majority population of luke-warm-on-bitcoin people would be exciting.

NostrUber

Widespread anonymous use in China and Russia

App Ideas Built using Nostr Protocol

1. Video streaming service provider

- similar to Youtube

- Pay-Per-Video streamed model (or something like it)

2. Stack overflow type website

- post coding bugs or challenges

- place bounties in sats

- community can tip valuable posts

3. Tutor Service

- students can easily pay for: tutoring sessions, homework questions, could even host your own courses or tailored learning

- straight V4V

#V4V is gonna win and eliminate middlemen (advertisers, platforms) between content creators and the audience.

I’d like to engage with people like us who are navigating hostile environments like China 🇨🇳

And so a translator must be made !

In Damus at least there is an option to translate. Which client are you using?

i got it figured out ☠️🙏☺️

Instead of AI something like distributed intelligence of the whole 🌍

I have only a vague intuition about this, people = neurons, the emerging order, no one knows the truth, but everyone jointly discovers it.

And nostr is the aether, the fertile soil that underlies this emergence.

This would be cool. Like what Musk wanted for Twitter. But made real in part by good money. In the spirit of responding to this post, I worry the human will just be too slow to contribute much processing power compared to the coming AI nodes.

Yes, we are slow, but why rush on the road to nowhere?

AI don’t have access to the void from where ideas come. AI can only manipulate with data that is already discovered. Maybe this is coming synthesis: we discover, robots coordinate

Yeah it’ll be fascinating to see whether us humans will retain the innovation role, or whether computers will take that over. My moneys are in computers replacing us in innovation.

I’m in a hurry just because I’d like to live at least a thousand years, and, if it’s not too selfish, visit Alpha Centauri.

Anonymous coordination taking place as family-group asteroid miners buy delta-V and schedule ore transfers from their asteroid belt locations to the many O'Neill cylinders around the earth-moon system and beyond.

The app i need the most in my life is ebay kleinanzeigen in Germany. Craigslist for all stuff. I buy a lot of used stuff for my homestead. This done with bitcoin on nostr will bring the circular economy.

Building bitcoin beach communities in every poor nation in the world. Where young adults travel from their privileged lives on school breaks to help the poor get established in bitcoin

Maybe many websites will become obsolete because content producers will just transmit their work off into the Nostrverse for people to enjoy using whatever client they prefer.

The things you want to see get pulled to you as if by cyber-gravity, rather than you having to venture out from your nest and actively seek them out on a variety of external platforms.

Meetups in real world are driven by the npub key experience for your flavored interests whether it be hiking, bitcoin, political, religious.

Kind of like how chat rooms of old are being revived with these Nostr clients there will be video chats and regular chat for those opting to identify at a local geographic location/county just to shoot the shit.

Notifications on how companies can contact you at your provided Npub will be an alternative to email.

Somehow youtube gets replaced by a Nostr client.

Livestreaming of virtual events for niche audiences. The hometown where i grew up has a summer regatta that am unable to attend every year. But i would love to view a live stream of certain events, as would a lot of other past participants. Centralized middlemen services exist, but potentially make it cost prohibitive, whereas a nostr approach would drive the cost down and use a V4V structure. Travel-oriented live streams would be excellent too, and am imagining viewing Max Keiser take audience for a stroll along Bitcoin Beach. And once bandwidth allows, taking in these live events via a vr headset—-in 3d—-would be downright unreal.

Btw, ty for posing such an excellent question. 🤙

Airbnb built on Nostr.

Lightning log-in to open the key pad.

Robosats style security deposit.

A copy of Money Messiah on the coffee table.
