So is life, in many respects.

Risk of ruin is still real.

There are consequences to failed experiments, with both life and wealth.

you can’t roll back bad decisions or hard fork a utxo set in real life though

I think we’re saying the same thing. No one should be experimenting with the base layer at this point. Too much real pain on the other side of failure.
