I typed in the username that I wanted. I did test as username, I tried other username, then put a description of why I wanted to join and pressed the blue "Request" button but nothing happens. I clicks on it but I don't get any notification that it sent the request.
The other error is I compose a note and write "hello test" then upload a picture and press "Post!" and it sends but doesn't post. I get 2 errors in the top right corner:
"blocked: author is missing a kind 0 event"
" Unprocessed Entity"

What do you mean anti-spam detection? Why does it think im a spammer right off the bat. All I did was sign up. Is the spam detection not effective? Is it an algorithm? It doesn't sound like it works good.
How are you not able to fix it if it's your sever.
Is it possible to turn it off and do the moderation yourself? Is Alex the developer? I should report the bug.

I registered on your website and got an npub with a an nsec so it's not a big deal because I can take that nsec and use it on amethyst or another client.
I'm more worried about you as a website administrator because I was expecting to use your website right away and have fun but no fun found.
I was blocked right away. So how can your website grow if it blocks users right away. It seems to me like the anti-spam doesn't work because it blocked me right away and I am a real user.

Your points are valid and that's why I always hated Web of Trust. I am forced to use it because spam on nostr is terrible and a huge time sink.
Plesae note that many relays are moving to Web of Trust and even use a social credit score to censor users based on reports that others filed
Which one? My mar npub? Yes. I am sure it works. I haven't tried to login with it. I wanted to test a new account instead.
I also used a VPN to sign up to your website. Maybe that's why. I'll have to test it without a VPN another time and see what happens.
I don't know much about the web of trust but one of the developer was complaining a while back that people were following a fake profile so it caused the web of trust to fail. Wait until Nostr is much bigger. It's ironic that Bitcoin teaches us to no trust but verify and they still are trying to create software based on trust. It was a fail to begin with.
The developers have been trying so hard for decades to solve the spam problem but they keep failing and they will continue to fail. I already solved the spam problem and many others are following our lead.
The biggest problem is developers have a socialist mindset of wanting to keep everything free which causes them to fail.
I am a capitalist so I have already solved the spam problem and sites like zap steam did so too.
It will take some time but I suspect we will get relay software that has the capitalist mindset.
I still want o install and test out that software. It looks cool.
This problem we are having is not VPN related.
Mastodon and the Fediverse don't have a spam problem and when they do, it's easily solvable

I see bursts of spammers sometimes on mastodon but you're right it's not as bad.
It's easily solvable on mastodon because the administrator has the power to easily delete and ban profiles using a gui and not only the Linux CLI like the relay software.
Mastodon is about 5 years older then Nostr so it had a head start but I am faithful Nostr will win.
