Pretty fair assessment. Relays can also mirror other relays, if allowed. Since relays do not share notes/data amongst one another. So, if for example, you spin up your own relay, and only used that one relay, you wouldn't see anyone else and no one else would see you. (Unless you mirrored another relay).
