Why do we think that the job of the vice president is to serve the president?
I don't, I'm just laughing at how Reuters put it.
My comment wasn't directed at you, I didn't think you thought that, but basically all Americans think that the president is the vice president's boss. We need to go back to the vice president being the person who gets the second most votes or the second most electoral votes. Can't remember exactly what the constitution says.
Do you mean like undo the 12 Amendment? What you describe is what the Constitution originally said.
The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately chuse by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner chuse the President. But in chusing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; A quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. Yeah, but they changed that with the 12th Amendment so you wouldn't have cases where the President is from one party and the VP from another, as happened in 1796 with Pres. Adams and VP Jefferson.

Yes I think that all of the the amendments that take power away from the people should be repealed and the amendments that were never legally ratified should be ignored.
The whole point of the constitution was to block the government from being able to oppress the people. Then the politicians were able to convince enough people that if they went along with their agenda they could get free shit and or have the government do their bidding. Hence the amendments that came after the original ten.
Nah. This is the weakness of the current party system. The deep state probably wants Desantis, but they can't help the fact Desantis sounds like a whiny hall monitor. But generally he has good track record as governor.
Pence doesn't have good track record. January 6th, he bowed to the wrong god. And all the rest are pointless too. They are just adding bodies to the clown car. This works in Trump's favor. He slammed the field the first time. Maybe the deep state is dumb enough to think this is a good idea, but it is not what I'd go for if I were deep state. I'd tell them to stand down or else, and then find someone who could plausibly pose as more Trump than Trump.
Maybe they think they'll get him out with prosecutions or straight up killing him, but I it's hard for me to believe they think any of these losers will beat Trump. Of course, I suppose they can always just cheat again...
