As long as it's not a chat-focused client, you should be good.
Learned that the hard way.
Nah lots of clients will do it. I have a backup in place but you can never be sure if it will work.
I've been lucky since my last chat client incident to not lose my relays or follows and followers.
Guess constantly publishing my relay list after every removal or addition worked wonders.
